Judy Moir wanted a modern streamline kitchen with colours that didn’t date and a well laid out plan with specified storage for everything. She wanted to be able to entertain without stress, to relax and enjoy her guests.
The colour scheme needed to blend in with her natural environment.
Doors: В Melteca / Paper Bark PVC Edges. В Meltrim doors so they would stand the test of time. The pantry doors were bi-folded do they didn’t interrupt with the work triangle and a reduced depth underbench unit was place at one end of the servery to provide a drinks cabinet for wine etc.
Tops: Stoneology / Tologa 38mm Square Edge . A composite stone top to give that special wow upbeat finish!
Bowl: Burns and Ferrell Large Bowl and Drainer. A good large size bowl and drainer (undermounted)
Handles: Heritage Hardware / Pescara BNВ Spice Insert
Double Bin: by Laminex
Glass Splashback: Resene's Hilary. A Glass Splashback in the same color as the opposite feature wall to look like a reflection of the wall!
She also wanted her husband to have easy access to the fridge and an entertaining cupboard for wines etc, so he could prepare drinks for themselves and guests without hindering the meal preparation. Plus a place for her special coffee machine and seating at the breakfast bar for at least 3 people.
Judy Moir is delighted with her kitchen, it works better than any other kitchen she has had, she is able to relax and enjoy her guests and has already hosted quite a few lunch and dinner functions.
